Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This policy explains what Free Bulk Email Verifier ("we", "us") does with personal data when you use freebulkemailverifier.com and the verification service behind it. We follow the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we've tried to write this in plain English.
1. The addresses you check
Email addresses you submit — one at a time on the site, in CSV uploads or via the API — may be other people's personal data. We process them transiently and only to perform the verification you asked for: the address is checked against DNS and the receiving mail server, a result is generated, and that's it. We never email the addresses you check, never add them to any list of ours, and never sell or share them. Bulk job results are stored in your account so you can download them, and disappear when you delete the job or your account. Short-lived technical logs for debugging and abuse prevention are purged automatically on a rolling basis.
For the lists you upload, you are the data controller and we act as your processor — it's your job to have a lawful basis for checking those addresses.
2. Free check quotas
To keep the free single checks on the homepage fair, we record your IP address alongside a daily counter. That's it — no profiling, no fingerprinting, no ad targeting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in stopping abuse of a free service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and the records are deleted automatically after a short rolling window.
3. Your account
If you sign up, we store your email address, a hash of your password, your credit balance and your job history — everything needed to run the Service for you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract). We'll send transactional emails about jobs and credits; we don't send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.
4. Payments via Stripe
When you buy credits, payment is handled by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers — we only see a payment reference, the amount, and the card's last four digits. Stripe is an independent controller for the payment itself; their privacy policy covers that processing.
5. Cookies
We only use cookies and local storage that the Service genuinely needs — like keeping you signed in to the dashboard. No third-party ad or analytics trackers run on this site.
6. How long we keep things
Verification results: until you delete them or your account. IP quota records and technical logs: short rolling windows measured in days. Invoices and billing records: as long as tax law requires.
7. Where data lives
If any processing happens outside the EEA/UK, it's covered by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with our hosting and payment providers.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your data, object to legitimate-interest processing, and complain to your data protection authority. If someone checked your address using our Service and you'd like to know more, get in touch — we'll respond within the statutory deadline.
